Essentials of Remedies EssentialsJennifer Krack moved to Montana from Seattle in 1999 to get away from the hustle and bustle and back to a simpler way of life. With a background in Pharmacy and Massage Therapy, she longed to create a place where people could come and learn to create skincare out of basic ingredients from the kitchen. After pouring through books on creating your own cosmetics, at home Spas, and beauty tips from the 1800's, she began the task of trying out recipes to see what worked the best. After 10 months of playing in her own kitchen, she had her recipes. The next step was Remedies Day Spa, a unique and cozy place where guests came, sat around the kitchen table with cookies and tea and prepared to be pampered. Jennifer filled the kitchen with bottles and jars of teas, herbs, clays and other raw ingredients, and all treatments began with creating the products from scratch, right in front of the guest. This Spa concept was immediately popular, especially by tourist and guests who had spa'd around the world, and embraced the new concept. The production of Remedies Essentials product line has been a work in progress, with everything made in small batches, and packaged in canning jars. As it has evolved, we have tried to keep the philosophy the same: fresh, basic ingredients, and handmade in small batches. |
